Before we begin creating your custom hair replacement, we will need the following inputs from you: 1) Several photos of you on a "good hair day" 2) "Swatches" of your current hair (i.e. samples consisting of a 10-12 individual hairs) from the front and back of your head, taped to a piece of paper and labeled "Front" and "Back". 3) Measurements of your head from the front of your hairline to the back of your neck and from one ear (across the top of your head) to the other Why do I need a custom hair replacement? Bone structure and head sizes vary between individuals much like fingerprints. Using your head measurements to ensure a comfortable fit, we customize our hair replacements by styling them according to your photographs. The hair replacements used by Brian Blanchard are also designed for long-term use and durability: our premium wigs will last for years with proper maintenance. Why choose synthetic hair over human hair? Using highly-spun synthetic fibers, there is only an imperceptible difference between our human and synthetic hair replacements. Although our lace-front human hair replacement is frequently chosen, we continue to recommend synthetic hair for many of our clients for the following reasons: 1) Synthetic hair has "styling memory" which allows the hair to hold in any direction 2) Synthetic hair will not fade in intense sunlight over time 3) Synthetic hair is virtually maintenance-free 4) Our synthetic solutions only weigh a single ounce! When should I begin to look for my hair replacement? It is important that we begin the consultation process as soon as possible after you receive your diagnosis. Extra time may be needed to acquire certain custom applications. Some other hair retailers expect me to invest in a fitting kit and then wait 6-8 weeks. I could be completely hairless by then! Isn't there a faster way to deliver a quality, customized hair replacement? Yes, there is a faster alternative! After your free consultation, we must receive pictures of your current hair, a picture of your desired hair style, and a hair sample.
